At Purpose & Legacy, we believe living with purpose means serving others. What began as a response to local hunger has grown into a dedicated food bank, providing nutritious meals, encouragement, and hope to families in need. Our mission is simple: fight hunger, uplift our neighbors, and strengthen the heart of our community—building meaningful legacies through purposeful living.
Who We Are
Purpose and Legacy began with a simple yet powerful vision: to make sure no one in our community goes hungry. At the heart of this mission are Sam Toplean and Daniel Cifor, whose compassion, resilience, and dedication inspired the creation of the food bank. From the very beginning, Sam and Daniel understood that real change could only happen through unity. What started as a small effort soon grew into a movement, thanks to the dedication of countless volunteers who joined their mission.
Together, they built not only a food bank but also a community of hope and generosity. Today, the food bank is serving more than seven Christian churches, helping them support families and individuals in need through their congregations and outreach programs. Their impact does not stop at local borders.
Over the years, Purpose and Legacy has sent countless containers of food and aid to Ukraine, Moldova, Africa, Turkey, and Romania, offering relief and hope to families in need around the world. Every box of food given, every hand extended, and every smile shared is part of the legacy they envisioned. Purpose and Legacy is more than a food bank—it’s a reminder that when people come together with kindness and determination, they can transform lives and strengthen the bonds that hold communities together. This is the story of Purpose and Legacy: a story of giving, of building, and of leaving behind something greater than ourselves.

International Missions
Through our international missions and trusted partners—including Gleanings for the Hungry, Assist International, Bread of Life, Overcome International, New Fields and Kalahari New Hope—we extend the love of Christ by delivering life-sustaining relief to communities in Ukraine, Moldova, Africa, Turkey, and Romania. These efforts remind us that hunger knows no borders, and with your support, we can bring hope both near and far.
